Seyfried began her career at the young age of 15, when she was cast in the TV soap “As the World Turns.” She continued to work steadily as a model and actress until she gained wider notice for her role as Karen in the hit high school comedy “Mean Girls” (2004) as one of the “plastics” that won an MTV Movie award for “Best On-Screen Team” for Seyfried and costars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert.
